TITLED, WHAT IS LOVE?
What is Love? What is Love? Most people think that love is waking up next to that special someone at sunrise in the morning; or spending every inch of free time together with your significant other. Love is so much more than just the emotion you get towards another person. Socially interacting with people is a kind of love also. Although, love is known as personal and intimate, it can also be fun and daring, as a day to the amusement park. Love is social, personal and intimate. Let me explain what love truly is.
Love is social because anyone can do it. Love is hot summer days down at the beach with your friends. Love is the freedom to be who you are. Love is the happiness and serenity you have brung upon yourself. Love is respecting your life and the life of others. Love is sharing lunch with an old friend just to catch up. Love is arguing because someone you love will not always agree with you. Love is tears of happiness, such as your child graduating college. Love is pain, such as losing a relative, friend or yet worse a child or spouse. Love is heartache, such as struggling throughtout life trying to find your way. Love is money, and the addiction to want to spend it on materalistic things. Love is caring not only for yourself, family and friends but also others who you may not know. Love is having life long friends you can always count on.
Love is as personal as your social security number. Love is cuddling up in your favorite blanket watching movies Saturday evening. Love is sacrifice of who you were before the marriage, and being willing to take the good flaws along with the bad ones. Love is your addiction to the variety of pink high heels shoes. Love is that book you read twelve times, and yet just started reading it again. Love is the butterflies you get just before you meet up with your spouse. Love is that passion of kissing your spouse after six months of not seeing each other.
Love is intimacy which is very secreted. Love is taken care of your health and body. Love is heart throbes for that want of Ben and Jerry chunky monkey ice cream. Love is painting your toe nails candy apple red just for fun. Love is your favorite Beyonce song that you blast, right before you and your girls step out for a night on the town. Everyone loves in different ways. Love can be a lot of things, some you have answers for and some you do not. Love can be confusing at times. You either can be loved, be in love with someone, or just love someone. Love is the romance of two individuals' committment and intimacy. Love does not care whose right or wrong. Love is accepting the fact you will make mistakes but not using that fact to make mistakes. If you do it right love does hurt. You always hurt the one you love, not purposely but because your imperfections as a human being. Love is allowing someone to be imperfect and yet love means growing above those imperfections. Love does not recall past injury. Love is long suffering, its not the experience of good times but how you overcome the bad times. Love is being open, with someone you love more then someone you know. Love is being honest, with someone you love more then someone you know. Love is being giving and forgiving, with someone you love more then someone you know. Love is enduring hardships and understanding someone else thoughts too.
What is not love? Love is not Lust, because when you love someone or something its not just for a moment but for a lifetime. Lust is heavily in like with a person but for a small amount of time. Lust is like a fad and Love is like a classic, a fad is here for the moment or second and goes away but a classic is here throughtout time it may even go away, but true love never dies. Love is not lusting over what someone has in substitute for who someone is. Love is not being with someone based on physical appearance and good looks. Love is not cheating on your spouse. Love is not leading a person on. Love is not physical or verbal abuse to or from a person. Love is not someone judging you on your appearance first. Love is not lying, or doing things purposely to get someone upset or get revenge. Lust is spotting that guy from the club in V.I.P, flashing the money and drinking the best money can buy, and yet meeting up with him after then, going home with him thinking your in love with him or he truly love you as a person. Love is not the adrenaline rush you get during intercourse. Love is not harming your body. My love toward people is everlasting. When I am in love with a someone it's not just about a relationship but most importantly a friendship in whole, and when I love-- I love hard. If you cannot be friends with someone you love then you do not truly love that person. I am a very loving person its in my nature. I am very sensitive when it comes to love, because its not something I give away freely. My love is humerous because my jokes keep people laughing and wanting to be around me. My love is like a over flowing mailbox from someone on vacation, it pulls up over time and keeps coming strong daily.
You cannot love someone until you have loved yourself first. In conclusion, Love is not only "Strong affection for another arising out of the kinship or personal ties; Attraction based on sexual desire; Affection and tenderness felt by lovers; Affection based on admiration, benevolence, or common interests; An assurance of love" According to (Definition from the Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary). So no longer should love just be isolated to a spouse. Love is all around us in different forms and every aspect of life. Remember love is personal, social and intimate.
