ABOUT:

Make-up Designory
is a private post secondary institution that provides training every year to hundreds of students from around the world to work in fashion, film, and television. Specialties include Beauty Make-up Artistry, Hairstyling, Portfolio Development, Character Make-up, and Special Make-up Effects. The school has two locations, one in Los Angeles (founded in 1997) and one in New York (founded in 2005). In addition, the school has its own cosmetics line, with retailers and distributors in the USA, United Kingdom, Spain, Japan, Australia, and Mexico.

CAREER SERVICES:

Make-up Designory's Career Services Department offers continuous graduate assistance. Career advisement is based upon the needs of the individual and is offered to students and graduates in good standing both financially and academically at MUD. The Director of Career Services at each of our two school locations is available Monday through Friday to meet and discuss your career goals. In addition, we offer free Wednesday Night Lectures to all MUD students and graduates.

Prospective Employers:
If you are an employer, wishing to hire a MUD student or graduate, please direct your correspondence, depending on the job location, to either Amanda Brass in Los Angeles or to Angelique Velez in New York.

MUD Career Services has access to graduates/professional services not only in Los Angeles & New York, but across the United States as well as globally.

STUDENT SERVICES:

Make-up Designory offers all students assistance in tuition financing, housing, and career development. Students also have the use of libraries and may attend the career and technical workshops at no charge.
In addition to a private housing website for MUD students, the school also maintains a job website, which offers current students and alumni exclusive access to a posting of jobs at many professional levels.
The Director of Career Services is available for students and alumni, to assist in the development of marketing material, or to discuss the best way to find employment in the make-up artistry field.
Mudshop, the student store, offers a lifetime 40% discount of MUD products in stores and online to all students and alumni. In addition, the school provides library and computer facilities, as well as the use of classrooms and photo areas for student practice.
